ABOUT PANDIT JI:-
Pandit Vikash Maharaj born in 1957,is one of the leading Sarod performers
of India,the prestigious oldest Benaras Gharana as well as Maihar Senia Gharana(school).He got his early education and lesson
from his Gharana as Tabla performer. On account of his natural indination towards Sarod and inspiration from his mother in
his early age, he got his lessons from Guru Late Sri Rajesh Chandra Moitra ji of the prestigious Maihar Gharana.
As he
belongs to a family of great performers like his grand father Late Pt.Bade Ramdas ji,Late Baba Allaudin Khan Sahib,Late.Pt.Kanthe
Maharaj(nanaji),His father Bengal Tiger Late.Pt.Nanhku Maharaj ji and his maternal uncle Pt.Kishan Maharaj,one can see in
his Sarod recital as excellent combination of SWAR(tone)LAYA(rythum).
Pt.Vikash Maharaj is known for the unique blend of
melody and fluency in his Sarod recitals of Raga's and Tala's in his own style that entirely differentiates him from other
Sarod performers of India.

A MUSIC DIRECTOR:-
He has also been credited with being a music director of a Swiss documentory film named NAGOSHI
for Oscar Award.The Holiwater Project(N.Z.)and Garam Masala.
